Postpartum Doula Support
Physical, Educational & Emotional

Birth doulas provide prenatal support and support during your birthing process. As a postpartum doula, I can help you plan for the postpartum period as well as help with the transition once baby is earthside! This looks different for everybody. Postpartum doulas provide a unique combination of educational information, emotional support, educational material, and physical help to families, most often during the fourth trimester (usually the first 12 weeks after baby is here, but this can vary!)

While typical support networks in the United States focus on holding baby, buying gifts for baby, and is very baby centered; a postpartum doula is parent, birthing person, or caregiver centered. Whether you gave birth or not, the postpartum doula is here to help you!

I wholeheartedly believe that birthing people, parents, and caregivers are capable of so much, but they sometimes need a little bit of extra hands, or they have questions and aren’t sure what the most up to date research supports, or maybe they need a non-judgmental ear to listen to them. I want to walk with you and help nourish your and your family until you feel confident walking alone!
You’ve probably heard that it takes a village to raise a kid before, and its true! I was raised in a large family where there were all sorts of aunties, uncles, cousins, etc., not all of them were related by blood, but they were family and community. Though as we continue to grow through the digital age, we tend to have smaller networks and our networks are often overworked. This is where doulas can come in!
